Minutes of the Committee Meeting of the

Albrighton & District Civic Society

held on Monday 3rd October 2022 at 2pm

at 32 High Street (PW’s house)

1. Apologies  Peter Illes, Ron Kidson, Gaynor Richards, Patrick Richards and David Beechey (ex-officio Donington-with-Boscobel PC)

 

2. Minutes of Meeting of 5th September 2022 were approved.

 

3. Treasurer’s Report. MP reported the balance at end of September  was £1660.44.

 

4. To consider progress in regard to following main issues

 

a. SC Planning Application Consultee status for all four parishes. Chairman’s email address  is now receiving notifications of planning applications for the parishes of Albrighton and Donington. ACTION: PW will now also register on line for Applications in Boningale and Tong.

 

b. ADCS Annual Calendar Project. It was reported that the sales are going well and almost 100 have already been sold. MP will now check all the shops and will top up stocks if necessary

 

c. Letters to Millfield residents. Agreed that volunteers will meet at the Sales Office at 10am next Tuesday.

 

d. Public Meeting and AGM 10th October.

Topics and speakers have now been arranged. ACTION: ALL those who can to come to Red House at 6.15pm to help set up the room.

Boningale Homes have suggested that they could make a presentation with an update but in the Spring 2023. It was agreed to consider holding a Civic Society public meeting in March or April.

 

5. Matters arising 

   Old TSB Bank building. There was no news of the results of the auction.

   none

 

7. Next meeting:- 2pm on Monday 7th November  2022 at 31/32 High Street

 

Following Meeting will be at 2pm on Monday 5th December 2022.
